The Stevermer Company logo is a stylized Norman capital circa 11th century. The name "Norman" is a variation of "Northmen", which refers to the Vikings who visited many areas of Europe.
The name "Stevermer" is a variation on the 'Stevermeier' translated "Mouth of the Stever" at Haltern, Westphalia, Germany. The Stever is a tributary to the Rhein.
Vivian Stevermer, Kim's mother, was of Norwegian descent. Her grandfather was from Norway and she spoke Norwegian exclusively before starting school.

 Kim Stevermer, CR, CKBR, Owner
Years of experience working shoulder to shoulder with brothers Mark and Richard convinced Kim to start a company that leveraged their unique talents in servicing Kansas City remodeling customers. A lifelong native of Shawnee, Kansas, Kim is an active member of the Kansas City NARI chapter.
Along with building and fixing things, Kim enjoys art and architecture, is an active volunteer for his church, and an avid reader of nonfiction.
Kim and his wife Mary live in an original Stevermer Company custom-built home with their three children.
 Richard Stevermer, Certified Lead Carpenter
Richard Stevermer has worked on Stevermer Company projects for over 20 years. His specialized skill in frame and trim carpentry provides a depth of competencies that is integral to the team’s ability to provide a quality product.
Richard has a Bachelor’s degree in Art. An avid runner and cyclist, his experience includes dozens of marathon events including the 100-mile Arkansas Traveler and several 50-mile events.
 Mary Stevermer, Vice President and Secretary
Balancing back office activities with the "family" requirements, Mary has worked with Kim to establish and support Stevermer Company. Her added talents as expert chef and pianist provide enjoyment to the crew in after-hour festivities.
Mary graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Chicago.
 Kaye Stevermer, Business Support
Kaye’s participation in strategic decision making and planning help support the framework of Stevermer Company. As a real estate professional, she adds expertise in identifying current trends in home design and functionality, with particular interest in the principles of Universal Design. A Shawnee native, Kaye’s diverse career includes 15 years with KCP&L and Regional Manager of VSA.
Kaye earned a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from the University of Houston at Clear Lake.
 Helen Stevermer, Business Support
Helen provides assistance in identifying new industry concepts and business practices for the Stevermer Company remodeling business. Her combined experience in local real estate sales and investment counseling provide insight in finding opportunities for Stevermer Company to be more responsive to customer needs and ensure exceptional value in every project.
Helen has a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Management from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.
